Purpose and Hypothesis

The purpose of this project is to identify and characterize chromatin regulators involved in C. elegans  anchor cell (AC) invasion.

With the current working model of AC invasion, identified pro-invasive regulators are hypothesized to affect cell-cycle state and/or the gene regulatory network (fos-1, egl-43, hlh-2, nhr-67) previously identified.

About Me

Hi!

I'm Nithin, a senior at Clements High School. I spent my previous summer overjoyed that I was conducting research at the Matus Lab in Stony Brook University as part of the Simons Summer Research Program. I love working in the lab environment and I'm continually amazed at the impactful discoveries researchers around the world make. I plan to pursue a career in academia as a physician-scientist and hopefully contribute discoveries myself!
